IP Specialist

Role Summary/Purpose
As a patent engineer, you would be actively involved in preparing patent applications and Office Action responses in a given key technology areas. Working closely with the clients/inventors and the attorneys, you would be assisting to maximize the IP potential of technical disclosures. You would be actively involved in analysis, creation of strategy for protection of strategic and tactical intellectual property assets. Working closely with the technology and the legal functions, your critical analysis would be assisting the technology team to find out technology gaps, to assess market competition and to help technology management. You would also be dynamically involved in assessing the patentability of inventions and the freedom to practice those inventions.


Qualifications/Requirements

BE/Btech in Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Science, Masters or PhD degree holders will also be considered

• He/She should possess good oral and written communication skills, passion for writing, passion for technology and excellence
• The candidate should be able to quickly grasp technical concepts
• Exposure to Patent preparation and prosecution process for USPTO, India and Europe
• Passion for novel technologies and an ability to work in a team having diverse technology expertise is a must.
• Candidate should possess good analytical abilities and communication skills.
• Prior experience in using various search databases (open literature/patent) would be a valuable plus.
